How Accts MMI began
Accts MMI was established in 1974, after a group of Christians with military links discovered a gap in the world-wide mission field. Members of the armed forces in many of the world's nations were not being reached with the Christian message. Accts MMI started to help link individual Christians in the military and these groups became what are now called Military Christian Fellowships.
Accts MMI is the main support organisation for the worldwide Association of Military Christian Fellowships (AMCF) - an informal grouping of military Christian fellowships and individuals in over 130 countries.
As the number of military Christians grew across the world, Accts MMI staff helped them set up teaching conferences. These conferences continue to be a source of learning the basics of the Christians faith to pass on to fellow soldiers, while addressing many of the difficult issues facings soldiers each day.
